Union Minister of State for Minorities and Corporate Affairs Salman Khursheed today said 2,500 crore would be spend for development and upliftment works in minority dominated constituencies.

"The central government will spend Rs 2,500 crore in 90 minority dominated constituencies across the country in the next three years for development works," Khursheed, who is on a two-day tour to his parliamentary constituency, told reporters here.
He said that a multi-purpose ITI will be set up in Farukkhabad under supervision of a big company and arrangements would be made to ensure scholarships to minority section students.
"Minority section workers engaged in zardozi industry will be benefited under National Insurance Scheme and efforts will be made to ensure reservation for Dalits and minorities in private companies," he said.
Khursheed said that discussions were being held with private companies on reservation issue.
Referring to BJP leader Jaswant Singh"s book, the minister said that though he had not read the book yet, but holding former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru responsible for partition was not justified.
