6 firms respond to Punjab offer

Six firms including TCE Consulting Engineers Ltd, Kirloskar Consultants Ltd and Desein Pvt Ltd have submitted bids to Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) for rendering consultancy and services for obtaining environmental clearance and no objection certificate for the 1,000-Mw gas-based power project in the existing premises of Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant (GGSSTP), in Ropar. - PSEB to issue LoI for Rajpura Project - PSEB extends date to submit EoI for JV firm - Punjab to get 100 mw from West Bengal - Punjab extends deadline of RFQ for Gidderbaha plant - Punjab to reduce T&D losses to 17 per cent by 2011-12 - Eight companies show interest in Rajpura thermal plant Among others who have submitted the bids are Mantec Pvt Ltd, Ramky Enviro Pvt Ltd and Mahabal Enviro Engineers Pvt Ltd. Sources further said that the tender would be awarded to the eligible bidders very soon. Earlier, PSEB had invited bids for rendering consultancy and services for lump sum work on turnkey basis for obtaining the environmental clearance and no objection certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Environment & Forest and Punjab Pollution Control Board for GGSSTP. Sources informed that PSEB intended to award work to well established, experienced and financially sound bidder. This included the work of carrying out EIA studies, conducting public hearing, obtaining NOC from various departments, or any other study and input required for environmental clearance of the project.
